Today was project attempt to make ‘spinach and cottage cheese’ perogies. They turned out, but I am not really impressed with the texture or anything. Here’s how they looked:

In other news, I am learning to play the Guitar! I have already learned these chords: D, A, G and E, E7 and Em. I never thought I would be so excited about it, but it just seems like a fun thing to learn and a good pass time. Right now I am learning to play the intro of Sugarland’s Settlin’.

Tonight we watched the Canada VS USA game . It was pretty intense. Unfortunately, we lost. But it’s not over yet!

What’s your favourite junk food that you’ve made into a healthier alternative?

Just cleaning up a bit and watching Olympics tonight.

Are you still keeping up with the Winter Olympics?

Sunday already!? Where did the weekend go?

Yesterday consisted of coffee with a very good friend in the morning, we browsed some stores for awhile. I headed to Walmart after that I picked up a few items for the kitties. Then I was off to my parents house for a bit of a visit. After that it was supper time, we went and tried out some Authentic Indian Food at Spicy Bite. There was a buffet so we were able to feast on a variety of dishes. I feasted on some mixed veggies in a milder spicy sauce, channa masala (chickpeas in spicy sauce), plain rice, vegetable samosas, and awesome naan bread. It was a very small little restaurant, but great service. Kind of reminded me of Babu Bhatt on Seinfeld. Not Pakistani, but the way the man waited on us it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode. It was a great night.

The evening was very uneventful, just relaxed. I think I am really fighting a cold right now so I have been feeling really drained and stuffed up.

I think today will mostly be pretty chill. This morning I have already been cleaning, I vacuumed and started laundry. So far its been productive. I will catch you up later if anything more happens!

I don’t know WHY I am so excited about pizza, I guess because its a comfort food and I’m craving it and not really wanting the extra calories of the ones from the pizza places. Can’t get much better than home made!

Look how tasty that looks! Whole wheat naan bread, tomato sauce, red, green and yellow peppers, chopped mushrooms and mozza cheese.  Baked only a short while for some awesome yummy goodness. Drooling yet?

Well I am off to relax for the night. Have a good one.

I am super psyched about tonight’s supper, I wish it was supper time already! The agenda is homemade pizza’s on Whole Wheat Naan bread, with red, yellow and green peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.

But first before supper can happen I had to do my cardio and abs sesh. Just over an hour of a workout. I did 2.76 miles total and a series of ab exercises. Felt great! I definitely got my sweat on.

Stay tuned for pictures from tonight’s awesome supper!
