So disappointed, The Biggest Loser isn’t on tonight, I almost cried. I look forward to Tuesday nights with the gang. And it’s not on again until March 2nd. I think I just might cry, whatever will I do!

WORKOUT – 1.84 miles and legs

I am back to tracking calories again, not religiously, but I want to keep an eye on how much I am eating, since my weigh in and measurements yesterday, obviously I am doing something VERY wrong. So it is time to take more action. Usually I use a program to track, but since I don’t want to obsess too much, I am doing it the old school way, writing it down on paper. It might not be exact, but it gives me a good idea of where I am at for the day.

Here’s what I ate today:

Breakfast – 1 apple and 2 slices 7-grain toast with light butter

Lunch (post workout) – large caesar salad with hemp seeds

Snack – 1 navel orange and 1 apple

Supper – Vegetarian Bean Chili with cheese

Snack  – Small Oreo Cheesequake blizzard from Dairy Queen

I picked up something new and exciting today. It’s an Organic Sprout Growing Kit, I’ll be able to grow my own spouts inside, even in the winter, and since I can’t really have a garden, super pumped. Definitely will be more on that once I get it going growing!

What’s there to say about today? Not much! Gym workout was good,  did 2.16 miles and strength training doing arms and back, upped my weight from 16lbs to 20lbs. That’s pretty exciting. And on a sadder note, I weighed in and did measurements and compared from 3 months ago, and I gained 10lbs and gained 0.5 inches on each spot. Ick! That was kind of a reality check to seriously get my butt moving into gear, especially since summer is going to come so quickly.

I have an upcoming Zumba workshop in just over 2 weeks, so I am thinking that doing that might be the swift kick in the rear to get me moving again.

As for supper tonight, we made some fish with a lemon butter dill sauce (YUMMY) and a caesar salad on the side. I was craving the salad so bad, the fish was a nice touch.

I am just getting ready for bed now, pretty tired, still fighting whatever sickness that is trying to take over my body.

Do you go to a fitness class or are you thinking of joining one? Which one?

WORKOUT –  4 miles on treadmill – 60 minutes

I attempted my skills today for my 6.2 mile race, I fell short, only 4 miles before I had to call it quits. But for me I was impressed, plus I ran most of it which is almost impossible for me. I guess if I keep this up, I’ll be able to do the 6.2 in no time.

Pre-workout food was an apple and a banana. Post-workout fuel was 3 eggs scrambled.

And here’s another tribute to the month of LOVE! With only 6 days left.

So first off, not sure what kind of gift this would be! But I kind of thought it was clever, when the light is red it’s hot water, and when it’s blue it’s cold water. Just in case your real "smart" I guess. Not such a good gift if you’re color blind!

All I have to say is, WTF!?

I bet you don’t know what that is? Maybe it’s my new mask because I’m a super hero. Wait, no I’m not. It’s actually an ‘Eye massager’,  Umm ok then!

This is a good product because its Green, use warm or cold. But WHY is it a dog laying on your face? Why couldn’t they just make it something that wasn’t an animal, how about a rectangular shape

That’s it for now. Not even sure what to say after those inventions.

I am super psyched about tonight’s supper, I wish it was supper time already! The agenda is homemade pizza’s on Whole Wheat Naan bread, with red, yellow and green peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.

But first before supper can happen I had to do my cardio and abs sesh. Just over an hour of a workout. I did 2.76 miles total and a series of ab exercises. Felt great! I definitely got my sweat on.

Stay tuned for pictures from tonight’s awesome supper!

Happy Hump Day everyone. How are you doing? I am doing great today, finally.

I kicked butt at the gym today, just wanted to start off with something positive! I did 2.9 miles and some strength training, I burned 500 calories in that hour of working out. Go me! I went and shovelled snow for about 20 minutes and burned over 100 calories. Wow!

This afternoon I did a little chocolate making. I made some peanut butter cups, with dark chocolate and natural PB. I also made ones with sweetened coconut in them.

Suppers agenda, sort of Italian feel, since yesterday was Indian:

Spaghetti Squash and fried Tofu. I have never really eaten tofu before and the one and only time I did it wasn’t very enjoyable, but I didn’t cook it up or add any flavours to it so that doesn’t count as much of an experience.

Spaghetti squash was pretty basic, topped with some tomato sauce and I added spices like oregano, basil and garlic, and I also added some mushrooms.

The tofu was fried with oil, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper. It was very tasty, didn’t seem like tofu at all.

First picture is just before cooking it, all spiced up. Second picture is cooked and ready for eatin’.

During the preparation of supper I burnt myself with the oil I was cooking the tofu in, I ran it under cold water and then I am still keeping a cool wet cloth on it, but it still hurts really bad.

Still today I am feeling quite miserable, had a bad sleep last night AGAIN due to pain and discomfort. On and off nausea today. Hopefully it will all go away soon.

Week 3 of Winter Shape Up came out today and I wasn’t too thrilled with it, sorry! So I just created something on my own, simple and easy to do at home since I haven’t been feeling much like leaving the house. All I need is the chin up bar and resistance bands. This way even if I don’t leave the house, I can still get in a good weight workout.

It’s been snowing here, again! Took long enough for it to actually start coming down, soon enough it will be Spring again and I will be jumping for joy. I can’t wait to start running outside.

Here’s the aftermath of our snow storm last weekend:

Most streets are cleaned, thank goodness! But since it’s been snowing again, its getting pretty messy out there again,  but I doubt it will be quite like the storm we just had.

On to the next thing, I borrowed some of my mom’s chocolate moulds, I want to experiment with making some regular chocolate, vegan chocolates and raw chocolates. I am so excited to do those and see how they turn out. Maybe this week I will start whippin’ up some fancy treats. My dad told me I have to bring samples out, because he’s the "Official Taste Tester". So I’ll be sure to make some of his favourites, my dad is spoiled!

Well until next time! Have a good night.

So as you all know I got some new kicks! And I also splurged and got me a sport armband for my iPod touch. Now I won’t have to worry about holding it while I run, Yay!

I’ll be the coolest cat running out there now! Especially with my Crops from Lululemon that I got for Christmas.

I have a couple things on my Wish List from Lululemon whenever I get some spare cash or if anyone wants to buy me a special present (hint hint V-day is coming sweetheart LOL)

Such as this RUN tank exactly what I need! In pretty pink.

And/Or these shorts just because they are super cute. Not sure how good they would be for running? (anyone know?) If not I have a few RUN shorts in mind.

I never thought I would be so much into a Brand name, but this is quality stuff! I wouldn’t buy my regular everyday wear there but when it comes down to my workout clothes, I don’t really want to cheap out anymore. Since getting more serious into running, you realize that you need good quality clothes and definitely good quality shoes to get the job done.

I don’t usually go to the gym on Saturday’s, but since I’ve been slacking this week and my pink eye has pretty much recovered, I can put my contacts in and get in a good run and try out my new shoes! There will definitely be an update on how they feel during a run.

Stay Tuned!

So today I went and bought my first pair of running shoes. The running shoes I was wearing previously were Wal-mart brand, so I wouldn’t consider those running shoes technically. Thanks to the helpful staff at Brainsport, with their knowledge of feet, the guy that helped me looked at my feet and measured them, went to the back and selected three different pairs of shoes. I tried on the first pair and they felt great, the second ones were still good but I was still liking #1 more, and then the 3rd pair I tried on were Brooks, and just like Cinderella, they were the perfect fit, I couldn’t imagine anything more comfortable than that! I was honestly amazed, and lucky me they were having a sale so they were 20% off.

Check these baby’s out!

New kicks

And of course Daisy had to inspect and approve first.
